The Guide To Car Scrappage
What is the Car Scrappage Scheme?
The Car Scrappage scheme has been introduced to encourage people to scrap cars and recycle them, earning them cash back for their efforts. You could earn up to £2000 which will go towards a new car or van.
The Car Scrap UK Scheme was introduced in the 2009 budget report, whereby money will be granted to the first 300,000 people who qualify for the scheme or it will end March 31st 2010 (whichever comes sooner).
How does the Car Scrap UK Scheme affect you?
If you have a car that is over 10 years old and meets certain requirements that qualifies for you to scrap your car then you could you receive up to £1000 from the government just for actively choosing to scrap cars and a further £1000 from the car manufacturer to put towards a new car.
Be careful though, the car scrappage scheme is voluntary therefore some manufacturers may not be participating - it's best to check before you make any more plans. Why not take a look at some car scrap UK companies on Friday-Ad.co.uk.

What are the benefits of car scrappage?
The Car Scrappage Scheme has many benefits which in time should bring great results. It firstly increases the demand for new cars and also helps motorists make some extra money from scrap cars which they no longer use. With the reduction of unnecessary cars on the road this should help to lower CO2 emissions. The cars that are on the road should therefore be more reliable. Finally more jobs may now be open due to the demand of car scrappage in the UK.
